Michelle's Story
Life
Where to start? After graduation from high school I attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. I graduated with an A.O.S. degree in culinary arts in August of 1992. Moved to Colorado to live with my sister and worked just out side of Boulder in a bakery/restaurant. My younger brother Jayson passed away shortly after. A very sad time in my life. Stayed in Colorado of about a year then moved back to Sonoma and got a job in San Francisco at Stars Restaurant. What a great place to work! I learned alot from pastry chef Emily Luchetti. Then it was back to Colorado again to work in Denver at The Brown Palace doing more baking. Back to California and work at Brix Restaurant in Napa Valley. Met my first husband and we lived in Santa Rosa. Got a new job learning how to decorate wedding cakes at Michelle Marie's.Then went to work for The Sonoma Mission Inn in the Bakery dept.. anta Rosa at Willowside Cafe. Got married in May of 1999 started a new job at Feast Restaurant as pastry chef. Needless to say the marriage didn't work out. So off to Antarctica I went with my new friend Devon. 6 months at the bottom of the world then off to New Zealand,Austrilia, and Tasmania for a vactation. A couple months back in California and Devon and I bought a house in Crescent City. Then we went off to Antarctica again for a full year this time. I was the lead baker and Devon was one of the Sous Chefs. We conceived in Antarctica got off the ice in August 2005 and got married in Fiji. Our baby girl Bella Adell was born October 14th 2005. We made it home right in time.Now I am just enjoying being a wife and mom. Plan on staying in this part of the world for a while now.In Feburary 2007 had our second and I think our last baby Peyton J Morgante. Now we have one of each and the girl looks like me and the boy like his dad. Life is goood!!!
