Michelle's Story

Hi there... to anyone who visits my profile Well, like all of us here there's been a whole lot of life that's been going on since being a teenager and school, right? Let's start with .. Like a lot of us teenagers in the 70's I was a high school drop out and didn't go on to finish my high school years (ugh! My bad) .. But I did go back to school at the age of 40! Managed to get my GED and some college under my belt. Woo Hoo! Anyway, I am going to assume that some of you here went to Junior High School in Wyoming, Mi.. and if so I wonder if you might remember me? My best friends were Pamela Shinn and Nadine Strach. They were the two I hung-out with the most. I am still in contact with Pam and Nadine today. Love them and I still consider them my close friends! Lets step back in time for a bit ... Had my first child at 17 YRS old. I grew up quickly! Moved out West with my first husband. I have been married twice and widowed twice, yep, I didn't stutter... widowed twice! My first marriage lasted just short of 1 year. He passed 1 week before our first Anniversary. What a shocker that was! I was young and scared but I survived it. My second marriage lasted 36 YRS! He was a musician.. I fell madly in love. He was my best-friend, and absolutely my soulmate. Some believe in soulmates and some don't. I do believe in a soulmate because I was married to one, and honestly life has been hell without him but at the same time life goes on. I've managed to make the best of it and be grateful for everything in my life ( the good and bad) because there's a lesson to be learned in all that happens to us. LOL! Yes, I know I'm very wordy or so I've been told... If you're so inclined do read on! I have 5 beautiful children and a butt-load of grandchildren and great-grandchildren! 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren! How does that happen? Well, I have 4 biological children and 1 mutually adopted child so with 5 kids you're bound to have butt loads of grandchildren.. LOL! Therefore.. of those 4 biological children there is a set of twins a (boy & girl)... The boy twin is married. He and his wife have chosen to not have children so instead I have a dog-grandchild from them. Who would have ever guessed I'd be a grandmother to a pooch.. I never guessed.. hehe! They're business owners in Tamarindo, Costa Rica (El Garito) and they also recently sold another business they owned (Tico To Go) .. And like his father he is quite the musician playing Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, and Drums. His wife plays Bass. My girl twin is married with 3 children. She's a college graduate with an Associates degree in Business and has a BA in Human Resources. She is also like her musician father and plays Bass and Drums. And she's a fantastic mother! Her oldest son is musically gifted like his grandfather and his mother. He plays guitar, is a singer and produces and writes his own music. He plans to go to college and study music production. I cheer him on... My oldest son is married with 4 beautiful children. Of those 4 grown grandchildren there are 2 of them with their own kids now. They have given me 4 great-grandchildren! Aside from working a full-time job my oldest son restores and flips vehicles. Recently he's taken on a classic truck to restore and several other truck projects. In addition too restoring vehicles and flipping them he is working on starting a Tire Repair Shop and Tire Sa...Expand for more
les business. Hopefully he'll be up and running by early next year. That is the goal. My middle son lives and works in Alaska. He is married with 2 young children. He is in the process of becoming a business owner too. He's advanced from the shop mechanic into the office so his boss who is the shop owner is getting ready to retire; and he's hoping to hand the keys to the shop over to my son. I am excited for him! My adopted daughter is the youngest of my children. She is married with 3 adopted girls herself. She works in a Dental office. She a gifted Singer, and plays Drums, and she's a full-time mother to 3 beautiful daughters that she's raised up to be wonderful young ladies. As for me .. Like I said, I ended up marrying my best friend and soulmate. We were happy for a lot of years. I thought we'd grow old together and I'm sure he thought so too. Cancer is an evil thing! No wonder it's acquired the name "The Beast"... My sweet best friend died of throat Cancer and he wasn't a smoker! He was a Singer! Life throws you the most unexpected things and we learn to wade through the bad to appreciate the good, at-least I hope so! ... So before we move on to me a little bit about him.. He was a loving husband and father, and an amazing friend. He was a very gifted, and multi-talented musician/singer who played music for a living. He did very well at it. He played several instruments (guitar, bass, harmonica, acoustic and electric drums, small percussion, and keyboards) and he sang while playing his instruments. He was in demand as a hired gun because he played so many instruments and was a singer and could front an entire band. He also wrote and produced his own music... but his forte was Robert Plant and he was noted in our music scene as being a vocal mimicker sounding like the artist he sang. As far as from our local to California and Alaska he was viewed as a musical mentor. That's no exaggeration, it is the truth. He built a booking agency. He made us a good living at it. We managed the business together. I handled the PR work and of course helped him make business decisions on a daily basis but I did it from behind the scenes which was fine by me. And we loved it! Both of us! Since his death I've closed the doors and I am completely out of the music scene. I am instead pursuing other interests. Slowing my life down. As of now, I remain widowed and I am single going on 5 YRS. Recently, I've become my 82 YR old father's full-time caregiver. He resides with me now. It is bittersweet because I also took care of my late husband for the 3 1/2 years that he battle for his life. One of the most overwhelming and heartbreaking things to do is to watch somebody you love "wholeheartedly fight" to survive cancer only to lose that battle. I've had many, many heartaches in my lifetime and I've been given many blessing in my life too. So I continue to be grateful for everything life has given me. And why shouldn't I be grateful? because this world is a wonderful and an amazing place to be! So there you have it in a nutshell... you have learned just a speck of what has happened to Michelle Crysler throughout the years. Blessings to each of you that stop by to read my profile. I hope you've enjoyed reading about some of those things... Take care ya'll... :) .. And leave me a word if you like. I would love to hear from you! Sincerely, Michelle (Crysler) Brownell
