Michelle's Story

I worked as a nurse for 20 yrs. Lived up there till 2003 (OH). When my husband was transferred to El Paso. He was in the Navy to start recruiting duty. But two months being there he died from Dr. miss diagnosis in Washington, on the Carl Vinson and even in El Paso at the military hospital. I stayed up bought into a business sold it. Moved to Chaparral NM right next to El Paso. Planned to fix the trailer and live in that till i could build a house. I have been in chaparral since 2012. But after i moved i was Diagnosed with Waldonstrom Macgoblium. Which is very rare mostly in men at the late 60's. So for me to have it at late 30's and diagnosed at 44 is just really Rare..... Today Im doing better i was supper sick during chemo. And from this October till this month and that was with out chemo. Its been a struggle to have no support. When i need help there is none. But i have made it past thoes days. I have been looking at moving to Kentucky where i can fish on my property hunt turkey and deer when i need to. And have my garden and some chickens amd a couple of goats. Goto the store when i have to. Have a renter that helps me with the animals and such too.. So thats where im at and thinking. Living in El Paso was a culture shock. People are not nice they try and rip you off they are, (whats in it for me) how much you are going to give me. There is no community attitude of helping each other out. So i really need to leave this pla...Expand for more
ce. I have a big heart for everyone that i still try and help when i can. Not do what they do. I dont want to get a negative attitude more than what i have from being since 2003. How they treat each other. I understand they had to fight and steal for what they wanted in Mexico but its not the same here. Ots just very difficult. I have my dogs they help me a lot and protect me and the property. They have stolen 3 of my dogs when they went potty outside. So.. It is what is, i be happy when i move and my health will improve more being out of a very negative place. Nice to visit here but not to live. Las cruces isnt much better either cant speak for the rest of NM. Such a difference then OH. Mom died in 2008. Dad re married and his wife is very controling and has caused problems that he doesnt see any of his family or friends that he had and hobbies that also now he was having issues on walking. He is now 78. I try and talk to him but she on the otherside to interfere. My sister is busy with her stuff i may here from her once a month. Never see her. I have an aunt i dont here from her too. So its ok im still plugging along. I know several of you can relate. But i stay busy and happy just being in my RV with my dogs in my sanuctary till i can move. And be outside more. I have an 1 1/3 property. So the 20 acres im looking at 30 mins from town is heaven. Im on Face book. Sara Michelle Boehm. So hope to hear from you all. Cheers
