Michelle's Story

Hello Fellow-Creekers! I see as our 20 year approaches more people are visiting this site. I have not decided whether or not I will attend, but I would like to catch up with anyone whom wants to catch up with me. For the past 20 years, I have had some interesting experiences and 3 careers. I worked as a boat patrol ranger for Colorado State Parks and a paramedic in my 20's. I graduated from CSU with a degree in Forrestry and History when I figured out the full-time rangers fly a desk and really don't have much fun. I then worked in the aerospace industry for Space Imaging and worked as essentially a project manager for our companies largest clients. Part of my job was to function as a Satellite tasking manager and plan satellite passes for my clients. I then went work for one of our customers over seas. The company name is Space Imaging Middle East. My job included travel to many cities. I lived in Turkey, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates. While I was in these areas I travelled around extensively to surrounding locations. I always wanted to be a flight nurse, but kinda gave up on myself , so I now am going back to school for a nursing degree and am working as a paramedic in an ER here in town. In many ways it is a step back, but it is exciting to take on yet another direction in life and I hope to be a flight nurse in a few years. I love being able to help others. My friends and I scuba dive. I have travelled around south america to dive and have done extensive shark diving. I want to cage dive for great white sharks, but have not had a chance to do that yet. My friends and I want to move to florida and open a dive shop which will work with the wounded warrior program and handicapped divers. I hope this works out and we are working hard to achieve this...Expand for more
goal. The plan is to be in Floriday this fall. The name of the dive shop will be Coral Dreams. I will be going out to florida to scuba dive and scout for locations as well as look for jobs at hospitals this summer, so I am not sure I will be in town for the reunion. I look the exact same with about 15 extra pounds. It happens to the best of us. I never married. I have been with my boyfriend doug for over 5 years with a few long term relationships with some very special men between Doug and high school. I have mixed feelings about marriage and have thus far avoided it. I was moving around so much in my 20's I never had a chance to settle down and is some respects I regret this. I will not rule it out marriage in the future. Doug has 2 boys from a previous relationship and i care for them as if they were my own. They are now 15 and 13. The pressures on them are so different from when we were in High School. It is hard to imagine. I would really like to catch up with Danielle Vannice, Debbie Thoroughgood and Susan Frank. I miss you all so much. Gabi Hoefler was about the best friend a person could ask for, a class act at such a young age. I only wish I had her wisdom and character when we were still friends. Maybe things would be different. To this day I miss her and consider loosing her friendship as one of my greatest losses. I was so silly in my younger years and I hope Gabi, Danielle, Debbie and Susie are all doing great. Tonya Bauer moved back to Colorado with her husband last spring to help her parents run a campground near Central City. I have not talked to her much, but plan to track her down this summer at the Camp Ground. My email is posted and open on this website ...anyone feel free to drop me an email. I hope to see you all this summer.
