Michelle's Story
I'm living in Minneapolis where I have a theater company Ten Thousand Things. We bring professional theater -- Shakespeare, Brecht, the Greeks, musicals -- to audiences who rarely get to see it -- in prisons, shelters, housing projects, adult ed centers, etc. They are fabulous audiences and, as the artistic director, I get to work with the best actors around -- it's ...Expand for more

My daughter Molly is 16, a junior, and chomping at the bit to get to college. Her passions are creative writing and soccer.
I get to Des Moines a couple of times a year to see my dad who still lives there.
My life has been and continues to be full of wonder and blessings. Barack Obama is making me feel hopeful about this country again.
