Life
My Spouse
I met my husband, Forrest Faison, in 1990 while living in Hanford, CA. We were introduced on a blind date set up by mutual friends. He was (is) an officer in the Navy, he was a staff pediatrician at Lemoore Naval Air Station when we met. I was working as a travel agent for Daughtery Travel in Fresno while living in Hanford. We married in May of 1991 in Hanford, CA. Moved to Seattle where I worked as a travel agent and Forrest completed a fellowship at UW. We then moved to Yokosuka, Japan in '93 for 3 years. We traveled extensively in Asia while there and loved it! We moved to Maryland in '96 and bought our first home, in Germantown, had our son in '97, and moved to Okinawa, Japan 6 weeks after our daughter was born in July '00. rrest was deployed for 1yr to Kuwait; the kids and I remained in VA. In July of '07 we moved to Camp Pendleton, CA (San Diego area). Forrest is the commanding officer of the Naval Hospital there. We will be here until '09; I'm loving being back in CA!
My Kids
We have two wonderful kids. Cameron is 10 years old, and Mackenzie is 7. We feel very blessed to have them both, as we weren't all too sure that we were going to be able to have kids (we waited longer than most to have kids!). They are a constant source of amazement and laughter for us! When we're out on dates, we wonder what we used to talk about before we had kids! It's hard to believe that I could have kids in their 30's right now if I had started earlier! I guess I'm in the minority of my classmates by having kids under the age of 11! Hope this keeps me young.
