Michelle's Story
Life
After graduation I spent 5 years in the U.S. Army as a Morse Code Intercept Operator. I was stationed at Ft. Devens, Mass; Camp Humphries, Korea; and Vint Hill Farms Station (VHFS), VA.
That is where I met my future husband, Sgt. Richard Wade. We dated for 2 yrs before marrying. Our daughter, Alonna, was born in August 1989. Our enlistments ended in 1990 and after our honorable discharges, Rick, Alonna and I moved from Virginia to Milton. Rick took a job at Carlstedt's, a wholesale florist, in December 1990 and has been there ever since. He is now Assistant Manager and Head Buyer for his shop and has been top salesman since 2002. nna is now a student at MHS. Nolan and Jenna are students at W.H. Rhodes Elementary School. There are all A or A/B honor roll students and very athletic. (They get that from their dad) Besides wife and mother, I have worked for the Sheriff Department, Homeschooled my oldest child for 2 years while working out of my home during mortgage research, and I am currently a substitute teacher for the Santa Rosa County School District. I have been working as a sub for 3 years now - and I LOVE IT!! I am hoping to go back to UWF and enter the teaching program there with aspirations of teaching at T.R. Jackson Pre-K Center. I love the 4 and 5 year olds.
