Michelle "Mitch"'s Story
Life
After HS I stayed in the Burbank area, went to work for PSA from '71-'76. Then worked for Surety Savings until I went to work for Lockheed in '78. In '91 I was relocated to Atlanta, GA. when Lockheed closed it's Burbank facilities. It was a great opportunity, I bought a brand new home and an SUV and fell in love with Georgia.
I quit working in 2000 due to medical reasons. In 2002 I married Jack, the greatest guy in the world. We decided to sell my house & live in his, it was a lot bigger. In 2004 he retired and we've been adding on & remodeling ever since ;-} Actually, we finally finished remodeling in 2008. YEAH!!! Hopefully now we will be able to enjoy our wonderful home.
We live in a beautiful area that's heavily wooded ...Expand for more
with lots of winding roads, huge homes on big lots and green everywhere you look! Our house is on a 2 acre lot, surrounded by trees. It's not uncommon to see deer in the woods in our front yard or walking down our driveway. I can't imagine ever wanting to live anywhere else ever again.
Jack's son/my stepson & our daughter-in-law live in CA with our 3 beautiful grandchildren that we don't get to see often enough. Photos are SUCH a good thing!
But there are some things about CA that I miss alot... GOOD Mexican food, access to anything, pretty much when ever you want it, and most definitely PCH! There's nothing on earth to compare with the California Coastline! But the Atlanta area is home, and this is where we'll stay!
