Michelle's Story
Life
Well, it all began in 1969 . . . just kidding. After leaving East, I went to Palisade H.S., not Grand Junction High. I only put my name under there to find friends from East who went to Grand Junction High. The following year I moved back to So. Calif., finished high school, began working as a word processor for various legal firms. I started college to become a court reporter (stenographer), but that didn't last too long as I got married at 21 and moved to Canada with my WONDERFUL husband of now 18 years. I can't believe it's been that long. Time flies! It's really beautiful up here. I used to think they all lived in igloos, or cabins. Was I naive, or what? So we have 3 daughters (didn't get any sons), 4 dogs, 2 cats & 3 horses. We live on 70 acres of mostly treed land and share it with the moose, deer, bears and wolves. My husband, Richard, is into real estate, oilfield consulting, hunting & taxidermy. I restored antique dolls for about 15 yrs. and also sold collectible Barbies by mail order. also began studying over a year ago to become a Doctor of Natural Medicine. I've almost made it to the Natural Health Practitioner level. Just a few more months! I've struggled with my health since our last child was born and it all just kind of lead me in that direction because not only do I want to help myself, but others who are suffering as well. I can relate to them & there's a lot of people out there who really need help. Other than that I've been taking care of my family, feeding and watering them, etc. The first daughter is married and living in Iowa. The 2nd one has just graduated from high school, was valedictorian, and is beginning to study to become a Doctor of Natural Medicine as well. She's the only 17 year old that the college has accepted. Their age limit to start is 23! The 3rd has started 10th grade. They're a lot of fun. They're into dancing, horses and boys. Go figure. Please leave your name so I know who's visiting. Don't be shy.
