Michelle's Story
What is different now? I got out of the "party scene" - thank goodness! I earned my BS in math with minor fine arts. I taught community college math for 10 years. My husband and I had two boys, 17 months apart, then, unfortunately, a divorce. I was a single Mom for over three years. I switched jobs and worked for the state of NV, department of transportation in right-of-way Engineering. ata analyst for a project called NIF (Look it up... it is really cool!) When my daughter was born, I left the lab (my husband and I agreed that if we had a baby, I would stay home). Nine years later, my oldest son is 17, younger son is 16, and my daughter is 9. A year ago I went back to school (on-line) and am working on my Master's in Education, secondary math and working on my teaching credential for AZ and CA.
I have had life and death experiences that helped me change my ways. Life is too short to drink it, snort it or smoke it. When I came out of a coma after a surgery gone really wrong and went through years of illnesses (boy do bone marrow biopsies hurt!) that brought me closer to life and all of its glory. I have three beautiful children, a loving husband and challenges that are attainable. I still like to be edgy, but not in a detrimental way.
