Michelle's Story
Life
I am currently a junior majoring in Advertising at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. I don't have kids and I'm not married. I don't really want to get married for another 5 years or so(I need to find a boyfriend first). I don't know what I'll be doing after I graduate in December of 2006, but I'm very interested in working overseas. After living in the Kansas City area for 8 years, my parents have decided to move to Destin, FL this summer. I'm sad that they're leaving Kansas, but I'm also excited because Destin is a beautiful area. I really want a dog, but I don't have the time or money to take care of one. My parents have a dog, Dodger, who is 14(I still consider him my dog). I wanted to get an internship in Kansas City this summer, but that didn't work out, so I'm going to be a camp counselor at a summer camp in Maine which should be fun. There's really not much else to say, I'm just your average dirt poor college student.
School
My biggest crush growing up would have to be Kyle Crume(along with the rest of the school). He was my show choir partner in the 4th grade and I thought I was going to marry him. I've always wondered what happened to him. My favorite teacher would be either Mrs.Biles(5th grade) or Mrs.Henry(6th grade). I don't have any regrets of the things I have do...Expand for more
ne. Even if I did something really stupid(like wearing orange socks with a green plaid skirt), at least I learned something from it. However, I do wish that I kept in touch with my friends from England and Oklahoma.
College
I'm a senior at Kansas State and I can't believe my time here is almost up. I've had so much fun and I feel like I have actually learned something from my classes and I have definately done some growing up while I've been here. Freshman year was my favorite...I have fond memories of sleeping in(because I didn't feel the need to go to class everyday), going to frat parties, and watching lots and lots of movies with my roomate Shannon. It's a scary thought that I will be out in the real world in a year with no more winter, spring and summer breaks to look forward to ever again.
Workplace
Well, I am currently unemployed, however; I plan on getting a job next semester(have to save up for spring break). My jobs in the past have consisted of(starting with the most recent): camp counselor, beauty advisor, sales associate, babysitter, daycare, and I can't forget my lovely summer of working at the smelly concession stands at the softball fields! I don't know what I'm going to do after graduation, but hopefully it will be something fun that is different everyday...I get bored easily.
