Mike's Story
The biggest influence on me has been Alaska. I've spent almost all of my life here. It has caused me to become who I am. It has been wonderful! I will be here for the rest of my life.
I do enjoy getting out now and then for visits every few years.
I live alone in a cabin in the forest at a place called Thorne Bay. Its about fifty miles north of Ketchikan on Prince of Wales Island. I spend a lot of time out doors doing one thing or another.

unded with several cases of beer from a downtown bar right under the nose of the bartender. I used Dad's car. He was a scout master at the time. It makes me shudder to think about what would happened to me if we had been caught. The football team drank the beer on the night we brought the bell back from Elko. It was our last game of the year, 1963, and the last football game I ever played. Best beer I ever drank.
I just got a satelitte dish so now I can reach out to the world.
I spent my first twenty years or so living in Juneau. I moved here because they were giving land away to people who would settle here.
