Mike's Story
I moved to Alaska in 1985 and have been here ever since, except for a three year period when I was in Montana(1996-1999). I just couldn't stay away and had to come back. The state is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. If you love the out of doors as much as I, then this is the place for you. Fishing and Hunting opportunites abound. I presently live in Wasilla, Alaska with my second wife Kelly. My first wife (Carrie) died from complications of Cancer. I have three children from my previous marriage-all grown and off to their own lives. I have 4 Grandsons and one grand daughter.

Moved to Alaska late in 1985 and started working in early 1986 for ARCO Oil and Gas Company on the north slope of Alaska, 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle on the Kuparuk Oil Field (west of Prudhue Bay). ARCO was sold to British Petroleum who sold Kuparuk to Phillips 66, who merged with Conoco and so I now work for ConocoPhillips Oil company still at the same place doing the same job. We just kept changing hats through all the "business" that was going on
