Mike's Story
Hi Y'all,
My last posting was in 2003. Wow, time flies and I thought I would finally get caught up with my story since a lot has happened since then. In '04 through 2011, I pretty much kept a low profile and remodeled my three little houses at Alki while keeping the same job at Kato Security installing electric locks. If the name Kato rings a bell it's because my longtime friend and our fellow K-M grad Don Kato owns the business. He hired me back in 2002. Having known Don since the 6th grade, I used to say that I went through the longest job interview ever!
In the beginning of 2012 my life changed when I met Jeneth. It didn't take us long to realize we're soul mates and we were married on December 31, 2013. This is her second marriage and my first. Although I still own my houses at the Alki property, we live in my wife's house in Lacey, not far from her work in Olympia. Because of my attatchment to West Seattle and Alki, Jeneth promised me that as soon as she retires in about a dozen years or so we will sell her house and move to Alki. I can't wait! Fortunately, one of my houses is rented out to a longtime friend (a Renton grad) and he lets Jeneth and me spend a weekend in his home about once a month when he's out of town. It's great to wake up and smell the salty air, take a morning or evening walk along the beach and go kayaking at sunset. Thanks Randy!!!
I retired from Kato Security after moving to Lacey and am looking for work here in the Olympia area.
The classmates site shows I have 18,309 characters remaining but I think I'll stop now and go outside and mow the yard.
