Michael Booth:  

My family is from Arkansas. In the early 50's they made the mass exit from the south to Southern California, where I was born in Santa Monica. We lived in several communities and fianlly setteled in Hacienda Heights where I attened Kwis Elementry, Newton Jr. High and 1-year at Los Altos High School. Some of my friends during those years are Ricky Hensley, Ralph Joyner, James Stone, Louis Benson, James and Becky Riddle, David and Johnny Lyle. There where a couple lovley little girls who I had a crush on - Sandy Klusmier, Margo Nelson and Pam Carpenter. After my Freshman year at Los Altos, the folks decided that we would move back to Arkansas where I attended Northside High School. I played football and baseball. In high school I hung out with Steve Dyer, Roy Roberts, Jim Bell, Bill Seaton, Jerry Reith, Mary McGrew, Mike Burton, Beth Swoffard and I dated Peggy Leonard, Carla Starkey and Sharon Elmore. After Graduation I attended and struggled through a couple years at Arkansas Tech. Running with Joe Evans (my roommate), James Brown, Mike McElhannon and dated Carla and Patsy Patterson. Tech was involved with an exchange program with Westfield State College located in Massachuttes. In 1975 I joined the exchange program and McElhannon and I (he went the year before me) were the "southern red-neck boys from Arkansas"! I learned to drink beer while at Camp Westy! Such an accomplishment! I also met Jeff Huss, from the University if Wisconsin. "Uncle Jeff" is Meghans Godfather. While at Westfield I mostly ran with McElhannon, Mary Ann Saunders, John Burke, Jim Malinn, Gary Wemett, Dennis Call, Tommy Sutton, Chris Loud, Joe Castro, Paula Varly, Audrey Weiner and Dave Shinn. I dated Paula Jacobs (a very special person), Karen Daisy, Annette Harvill and Janice Blecharczyk. I graduated in 1977 with a degree in Economics and Psychology.
