Chill has consistently cultivated his fan base, alongside artists such as Three 6 Mafia, Twista, Paul Wall, Brotha Lynch Hung, Haystak, Do or Die, Redman, Slim Thug, Bizzy Bone, Frost, Lighter Shade of Brown, Rappin 4 Tay, and South Park Mexican, through concerts and lowrider car shows as well as the underground hip-hop circuit.
Growing up fast, and choosing to live the thug life, revolving around drugs, money, and carrying weapons forced him in and out of jail. Mike has learned his life lessons the hard way, shaping his sharply rugged delivery, street-wise wordplay and hardcore subject matter throughout his career. After recently losing his parents, wife, friends, and all of his material possessions, Mike found his pen and pad to be his only survival tools to overcome the hardships and losses. As a single parent himself, Mike believes in order to create the life he wants for his daughters, Ashley and Hailey, he must verbalize his past, present and future to illustrate his process of personal growth and perseverance.
