Mike's Story

Ain't life grand? G'day to all you out there taking time to read this. I was way out of the loop for several years while down in Mississippi farming, (as if I ever was) and for that I apologize. When Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit, we decided to get the heck out of Dodge and me get a job with health insurance. We are now in North Cental Iowa. The town is called Mason City and Lisa's health is allowing her to now be able to be a counselor at a local HS again. As for me, I now sell corn and soybean seed for a company here in Iowa under the Monsanto umbrella. It isn't farming for myself, but the closest I can get without being there, plus I have gotten to the stage in my life where retirement is on my mind every now an...Expand for more
d then. It will be here before I know it I am told, if my health will last that long. Still no children after all these years, so I guess the Lord figures I'm not able to "pay for my raising", as the saying goes. We are however considering foster care and possibly adoption. Life is good here, but I do look forward to the day when we can retire and just do nothing, or travel if we choose. I am still a big kid at heart, just an older, grayer, balder (as you can see), and fatter version of when in school. I still love to laugh and act like a kid when I can. That might not necesarily be a good thing, but it sure is NOT a bad thing either. Life has been kind to me, and truly hope you have a fantastic life ahead of you.
