Mike's Story
Mike Eldredge is a native of Ogden, Utah, and has 30 years of experience in corporate and business law with a specialization in securities law. He also has ten years of experience in international transactions, with a clientele ranging from Japan, China and Mongolia in the Far East, to Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein in Western Europe. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar, and admitted to practice in all federal, state and district courts in those jurisdictions. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1987. He served on the Utah State Bar Advisory Committee to Utah Securities Division from 1992 to 1996 and the Utah State Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee from 1996 to 1998. He is an instructor at the University of Phoenix, teaching courses in Business Law and History. He is the author of four books; two nonfiction and two fiction. He presently serves as president of The League of Utah Writers, an organization of over 500 members now in its 75th year. He served as an adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years, and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service to the Great Salt Lake Council. He is associated with Golden Spike Lodge No. 6, F. & A.M. in Ogden, Utah.
Mr. Eldredge is a graduate of Weber State College (B.A. 1971), Utah State University (M.A. 1972), and J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University (J.D. 1980), where he was editor of the Journal of Legal Studies and editor of The Clark Memorandum. Mr. Eldredge served over five years as an officer in the United States Navy, and is a Vietnam veteran. He and his wife Michelle reside in Salt Lake City. They have eight children, all grown, and eleven grandchildren.
