Mike's Story
Life
Flew helicopters in Vietnam then finished college at San Jose State in California. Spent a couple of years in the middle east flying for a Dutch company, bombed forest fires back in the US, then spent 2 years flying helicopters in Indonesia. Gave it up in 1980, went back to school, and later went to work for a computer mfg here in California. 22 years later I got an "early retirement" when...Expand for more
the industry slumped. I spent the next 10 years writing software for the USGS in Menlo Park then retired.
Got married in 78 and had 2 kids. My daughter graduated from San Diego State and got a masters from Georgetown. She works as a CRNA at a medical center in California. My son graduated from Cal Poly and works for Google based In London.
I'd love to hear from anyone from those old days.
