Life
I split for Ohio three weeks after graduation and headed for Anahiem, CA with my engineering degree in 1985. I married a California girl in '89, and we had baby boy in '94 (OK, she did most of the work). The perpetual sunny days were nice, and the earthquakes were always a cool surprise, but the grueling commute, high cost of living, and job uncertainty made life there somewhat less than full. It seems that I've only been back to VA a handful of times since leaving; makes it pretty hard to keep in touch with friends from WS. I sure didn't set out to tour the country, but what a long strange trip it's been.
Update: Another carbon lifeform/tax exemption was added to my life in the form of a baby boy on 10/02/99. Life is good, and I guess that I got enough sleep in 5th period Junior Chemistry to make up for what I'm missing these days.
