Update - The good life - After high school I joined the United States Marine Corp and served proudly for 4 years. While in the Marine Corp I played basketball on the service team and when my 4 years were up, I had a handful of scholarship offers. I eventually decided to attend the University of Alaska and traveled right from my duty station to Alaska. I fell in love with the place, the lifestyle, the people, the opportunities, the outdoors and every other aspect of life up here. After finishing college I worked as a commercial fisherman on a crab boat. I did that for about 6 years before returning home when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Even though I was living in California, my heart was still in Alaska. After about 13 years of being back in California, I made the decision to sell everything.
