Life
I'm living in Detroit with my girlfriend Heather. I ride my bike all the time and I'm a total geek about it; in fact it's what I do for a living, I'm a bike messenger. Perhaps I'm overqualified by some standards to be a glorified paper shuffler pedaling around like a maniac through the snow and ice of the michigan winter, but I totally love it. I've got none of the usual status symbols by which so many people I encounter on a daily basis measure their worth (unless you count a fleet of totally sweet homemade bikes), but I'm living a life of contentment. king hours involved in something I enjoy (biking, reading, building bikes, etc.), and in spite of my poverty I've traveled over 20,000 miles in the last year. How, you ask (or maybe you don't)? I spent the last year on tour playing guitar with the NC band facedowninshit. We did two tours (one in the states, one in europe) and now I'm very grateful to be home again. So there you have it, the proverbial nutshell bursting with life.
