Mike's Story

Life I made it to the last reunion and it was great to see everyone. I do miss the fact that I am so far away and have lost touch with those that were such good friends growing up. a little background - Went to Purdue, graduated and moved to Ft.Wayne for 5 years, then moved to California. Been living in San Francisco since 1997. Love it. It is great to live in a place that people travel from all over the world to see. The actual city is okay as far as cities go. For me, it is what is within a 3-hour drive that makes it so special. Yosemite, Tahoe, Sierra mountains, Napa, Ocean, Big Sur, etc. I thi...Expand for more
nk the biggest thing I miss being out here are those hot Indiana summer nights and the change of seasons. I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors - either mountain biking on singletrack, backpacking, snowboarding in Tahoe, etc. Really try to get in about 3 backpack trips a year up in the mountains. I've been lucky enough to have season tix to the Giants since they built PacBell Park downtown so I have seen my share of ballgames in the last 4 years. And yes - Barry Bonds is juiced and it just doesn't matter. I have also become a bit of a wine snob which is not hard to do out here - love it. Take care!
