Mike's Story
A rolling stone gathers no moss. I guess that describes the last 39 years. During that time, I've lived and worked in California, Nebraska, Alaska, Pullman, New York City, Rome and Des Moines, Wa., my current residence. I had the good fortune to work for a couple of companies where I traveled a lot. I've visited 30 states and 7 foreign countries. I drove 100 mph on the autobahn between Stuttgart and Nuremburg. I've been through almost every major airport in the US. I lived in and worked in Rome two summers. While I was there, I went to mass in St. Peter's Basilica. I have also been a National Ski Patroller. What a long, strange trip it's been.

del railroad. I have a house that's way too big for a single guy that I share with my three cats. I have a garden pond filled with plants and goldfish.
I'm an Information Technology Specialist for DSHS Childrens Administration Technology Services (the foster care and adoption people) in Lacey. We just finished a four year project that replaced our software systems. I maintain the overnight programs that close cases and pay foster parents and child care providers for their efforts. I am also responsible for several reports the state sends to the federal government. If your interested in what I do, Google the terms AFCARS, NCANDS or NYTD. I spend way too much time dealing with the feds on behalf of the state.
