Mike's Story
Life
Hey Everyone, After school I spent 7 years in the Navy. I spent a lot of time in Hawaii and Guam. Loved the islands then and still do. I finished off my Navy time at NAS Alameda, near Oakland. After the Navy I went to Clark for a few months before moving back to the Bay area. I lived in East Contra Costa county in Byron for 15 years. During that time I worked for General Electric Medical Systems in the NMR and MRI fields. Since then I have worked for a company based in the UK that makes Superconducting Magnets for Research and Medical systems. wiz kid thats for sure. Ken Leach lived across the street from me in California, and I ran into a lot of people from school while I was in the Navy; Bob Kramer in Japan at a PX, Bobbi Steele and Ralph Sturdevant at a Taco Bell in Guam and we ended up hanging out a lot, Those are some good stories for later on. Now I live back in Vancouver and love it. I travelled a lot in my old job all over the world but mainly to the East Coast. Since I was away from Vancouver pretty much for 21 years I lost track of most of you. Let me know whats happenin. Its been a great ride.
I quit the travelling job 2 years ago and now work at OHSU in Portland doing the same sort of work but ride a bus now instead of a plane most days.
