Mike's Story
Although I was born in Jonesboro (AR), I grew up in Las Vegas (NV) and consider it to be my hometown...lots of great friends and memories. I am now retired and live in Albuquerque, (NM) near our son and daughter and 7 grand children. My schools include Rancho High School, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Geology) , and graduate school at Tulsa University (Geology) until we ran out of money. :-) I worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (1976-2006) on a wide variety of great science projects. I love all kinds of music: 60's sounds, Doo Wop, Jimmy Buffett, Buble, traditional country, old standards (Sinatra, Bennett, etc.), gospel, soft rock, ...yikes, what a mix! My marriage to Sharon Fultz (Rancho '68) in 1971 has given me unspeakable joy and my life has been so full of blessings (and challenges) that words fail me.
Laughter in life is so important and I find a lot of humor in some great Jimmy Buffett songs...two of my favorite titles are:
