Michael Stone:  

While I was in high school, I was an emergency medical technician, and worked for Western ambulance, in Yucaipa, and later, Howard ambulance, in Redlands. I moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1977, after a girl broke my heart. I continued in the ambulance profession until 1980, when I became a deputy sheriff, for the Greene County Sheriff's Office. In 1984, I was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. In 1999, I took a beak from law enforcement, sold insurance, and then drove big trucks across the country.
