Mike's Story
Life
I survived the US Army in 73 to 74. Then I survived the mean streets of Houston, TX where I was raised till I was 15. I then got by Hollywoood, and the crazy people that run it. My mom married into the royalty of there. I then failed to be on the Olympic Weightlifting team because of politics. The judges said my elbows were not straight enough when I lifted the weight. So, I was left off the team. I ended my football playing in 1980. There was an incident, ended my career. I bounced bars, nightclubs and then the government. I now guard the DMV. I collect coins and comics, and I still play guitar and listen to classical music. I write poems and songs, and draw cartoons. I do all sorts of crazy things, and I go to the rescue to family and friends all the time. Ciao!
Workplace
I work for the state of California guard company. They cancelled the weekend supervisor position. I was one of them. They are using me for relief work. Ha. I work at Marriott Hotel in Natomas weekends. I am the bouncer at the IN-N=OUT Burger in Fairfield CA fri and sat nights. I got my hands full you might say. I was back into warehouse work, but the firms I picked did wild stuff like merge, and my job got purged. MIKEE>
Military
I made a drill sgt mad, so I got stuck on K P for 12 shifts in an 8 week program. They had to take me by truck to finish...Expand for more
my training. I got sent to Ft Gordon to learn to use teletypes. I pulled lots of guard duty. I was assigned to Ft Lewis to wait for overseas ship out. I managed to torque off a full colonel, and he tossed me in the stockade. I had been taking kung fu lessons, so in a short time I was the bull of the walk. I got out, but I did not get paid for 8 months. No soap, no toothpaste, no laundry, no shave or a haircut. I smelled like a dead bison, and I looked like a wild man from borneo. A general got a whiff of me, and he asked me what I was. He thought I escaped from war games. They gave me 25 dollars to clean up, and I caught all the special assignments after that. I and 6 other troops were almost killed by a telephone pole we took to the battalion dump. The sgt screamed at us to unload it, and it got loose and whacked 3 guys. It tossed one sky high, broke his legs. It knocked the sgt out, he tried to stop it. We rolled it into the dump. It was the best military intelligence I ever saw. I got busted from pfc to buck private. I got up to private E-2, and I got out. I was worked over by the goon squad weekly. So, I got angry and took kung fu lessons. No more goon problem. I was building two man rooms in wooden barracks when I was discharged. I missed the war, and I was a lucky man. I went to college on my GI Bill. So, we call this a push.
