Mike's Story
Life
In December of 2002, I became the Chief of Police in Acworth, GA, now a city of 23,000 plus and a bedroom community for the Atlanta area. Graduated Bob Jones Univ. in '81, master's in '89, and M.C.J from Univ of SC, and am currently working on the Doctor of Public Administration degree through Valdosta State. Graduated 207th session of FBI National Academy. Married to Sharon Edge of Tifton, GA, since 8/78. Having never had children, we have adopted four Russian orphan children in the last year, ages 6,6,8,11. 2 girls, 2 boys. Still serving the Lord. About 25-30 of us got together for a 30th reunion in October, 04. Perhaps we could have a class party to celebrate our turning 50 in a year or two!
At least once a week, I pray for all of my classmates in our wonderful class of 1974. Not infrequently, if I awake during the wee hours of the morning, I'll spend some time in prayer for all of you. By God's grace, I hope to see many of you in day in Heaven, and ask the Lord to save you. God bless each of you.
