Maureen's Story
---September 2015---
I got married in 1969. Lived in San Francisco for a few years. Have lived in Chico, CA since 1972. My husband and I built a house in Butte Creek Canyon, a little out of town in 1978. Worked at the Sears Catalog Store in Azusa right after high school, where I met my future husband. Then Harry Hill Volkswagen in West Covina. Started with General Tel in Covina in 1968, then Pacific Bell/AT&T in El Monte, San Francisco, Willows and Chico. Staye...Expand for more
d home with the kids for 7 years after the phone co, then went back to work in 1990 for Lifetouch NSS in Chico. Plan to retire in 2 years when I turn 70. Still have the same great husband. Have 3 wonderful daughters ages 31, 34, and 37, none are married, no grandchildren. Was active in 4H when kids were young. I'm a member of our local historical assoc and a docent at our local museum. Love to travel, especially Europe. I collect vintage Pyrex and kitchenwares.
