Mike's Story
Workplace
After getting out of the military in 1986 I lived in San Diego for a year and a half, where I sold aerospace metals. In mid 1987 I went to work for Northrop Aerospace as an avionics tech. in Corpus Christi Texas. I worked on the U.S. Customs contract maintaining their drug interdiction aircraft. At the end of 1989 I went to work for Delta Airlines as an Avionics Mechanic in Atlanta Georgia. In January 1998 I went to work for Panasonic in their in-flight entertainment division as a Field Service Engineer in Atlanta. This job took me all over ...Expand for more
the world and I loved it! After almost 10 years of about 50% travel I hit burnout and quit. I started a business in August this year (2007). I own a franchise doing residential construction inspections.
Military
After graduating I joined the U.S. Navy. I chose Avionics as my specialty. After a year of school I was stationed in Hawaii, where I lived for three years. I never served time on the boat, but my squadron was a deploying squadron and I traveled all over the Pacific. This was the beginning of my desire to see as much of the world as I can.
