Mike's Story
I'm a Lieutenant Colonel, Aviation, US Army (Ret). I'm a retired airline pilot from Continental Express and a retired civilian employee of the Department of Defense. My wife, Genny, and I live in Bella Vista, AR, near the home of Walmart and our youngest daughter. We have three daughters, Karen, Bree and Kara and six grandchildren, Edith 1, Miles 4, Henry 6, Emory 9 Alison 15 and Raestch 16.
I entered active duty in the Army in 1967 and served as an enlisted soldier, a Warrant Officer and a Commissioned Officer. I started college at Mankato State College after my discharge from the Army in 1972, I graduated in 1974 with a BS in Business Administration and went on to the University of Nebraska where I started law school in 1975. I began flying again in the Nebraska Army National Guard while attending law school. The lure of aviation took me back to the military and out of law school!
Since returning to the military, we've lived in New Jersey, Texas, New York, Seoul South Korea, Georgia, Texas and Arkansas.
We're building a house so I'm kept busy keeping an eye on our contractor. I'm a member of the Hill-n-Dale hiking club, I bought some golf clubs, I have a kayak and I take the grandsons fishing.
