Mike's Story

I still call the "thriving" city of Conneaut home, along with my wife, Iona, who I married in 1995.. I bowl two nights a week at El-Camp and love to play golf when I can. I have six 300 games and four 800 series to my credit. I am still looking for that elusive first hole-in-one on the golf course. It is a chase I will never give up on. My wife and I have been lucky enough to see many parts of the country by bowling in The USBC Open Championships. 2020 will be the 25th time I have bowled in this event. It always makes for a great vacation, even when I don't bowl well. We bleed Scarlet and Gray for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Ohio State flag is flying at my house every Saturday for all the football games. We enjoy getting out and about on the weekends. ot of time outside working in the yard during the spring and summer and enjoy bird watching as we sit on the patio in the evening, with a cold one of course. My music interests include Elvis Presley (thanks mom), Bruce Springsteen, Journey (with Steve Perry), Bob Seger and many other artists from the time when we were young. I think most of todays music sucks, but that's just one man's opinion. I like to watch classic movies when time allows. My favorite is "The Best Years of Our Lives" with Dana Andrews, Frederic March, Myrna Loy, Teresa Wright, Virginia Mayo, and Harold Russell.. It is a story about soldiers transitioning to civilian life after returning home from war. If you have never seen it, try to get a look at it. It is a long movie, but I think tt is time well spent. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our 40 year reunion (wow!) in 2021.
