Mike's Story
Man, I miss all you guys ... well, some of you guys.
It saddens me that after nearly 40 yrs, I rarely get to see the people who were some of my closest friends for 12 yrs of my life in school at HT.
Some of you will remember those 6th grade parties at kay's house and Pam's house - memories that will stay with me forever. And I've never forgotten my first real kiss, way back in 4th grade with ... well I'll let her tell if she chooses to, but C., you obviously made a life-long impression on me.
I'm back in Trussville (after living in Woodhaven in Blount County for 20 yrs), married to (my 2nd wife) Susan for 30 yrs and have 1 daughter who is 12 yrs old - yep, 12! I was 45 when my only child was born and she's the light of my life!
We built a house on Mermont Dr. in Trussville where we've lived for about 6 yrs now.
I am self-employed - own a little one-man company called Sawmill Controls, Inc.- which reps industrial computer systems for a company in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I get to work from home and travel the southeast - generally travel for 3 or 4 days every other week or so - with occasional trips to Canada a couple of times a yr.

. Fortunately I'm in good health, and as my grandma would say, 'still have all my own teeth!' but my once brown hair sure seems to be looking a lot more 'silver-ish' these days - especially with a pre-teen daughter in the house whose female hormones are starting to kick in!
I signed up here after talking with Mike Smith about putting together a 40th class reunion in 2009. I see that there are over 40 of us here which ain't bad for a class of less than 100. I hope everyone will want to come to a 40th reunion and will be willing to help pull it together. Please contact me or Mike Smith if you'd like to get together one more time with a roomfull of people who will swear that you still look just like you did 40 yrs ago - or at least make you feel that young again.
No idea yet when or where a reunion might be held - just beginning to put out feelers to see how many would be interested ... so let us hear from you.
