Mildred Louise's Story
I moved to Houston when I was 19. I had a baby daughter at that time, divorced my husband. My mother had passed when I was 18, so I needed to further my education and get started on a career, so that I could make a good living for myself and my kids. So after meeting and marrying my second husband, I had a son. I then started nursing school, became an LVN. I always wanted to be a nurse, so that is what I pursued. I worked as an LVN for several years, but I decided I wanted to further my career. So in 1983, I returned to nursing school and obtained my RN. I divorced my second husband in 1979, raised my 2 kids who are successful, and responsible. We have a very close bond and we love each other very much. My daughter's name is Nikita, and my son's name is Kelsey. I have 3 great (wonderful) grandkids, 1 girl named Alexandria, 2 boys, Jairus and Freddie(JR). I have a big family, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. We all remain very close and love each other very much. My dad passed in 2002 on Father's day, and I...Expand for more
miss him very much. Two of my brothers and my half brother are deceased: Richard, Charles, and Robert Earl. Everyone else is doing fine. The rest of my siblings are: Johnnie Mae, Jannie, Ida(Puggy), Sammie, Walter(Jr., Hunior), Kenneth(Pokey), and Harold. I've gone thru a few trials and tribulations, but with the grace of God I was able to overcome them. So now I'm single and free, and am looking forward to possibly trying marriage for a third time(third time is a charm, or so they say), when I find that special person to continue my life's journey. I do miss those people who I grew up and went to school with, and hope that everyone is doing well and are on the journey that they chose for themselves in this life. Lots of love to all my family(and there are many), my friends, and associates.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Verbalize what is on my mind. I like to be left alone so that I can cool down.
