Felicia's Story
Wow, since high school. Sometimes seems like forever! Well, I got married and moved just outside of LA. Worked for a credit card company for 4 years, had my son Tyler in 1990. Moved back to San Diego in 1991, got a job at USE Credit Union, got a divorce. Met a new guy, got married, bought a house. Still worked at the credit union. Am now getting a second divorce (ok, so maybe I'm not THAT fast of a learner). I believe you have to be happy, and if you aren't, cut your losses and move on, so no "I'm sorry" when it comes to divorce. I cherish the experiences I had in both marriages and wouldn't trade them for anything. Maybe not the happiest ending, but we sure made the best of it at the time, so no re...Expand for more
grets. Take what life gives you, do the best you can. If you have regrets then you have the wrong perspective, because it is your life experiences that make you who you are, and if you can't like yourself then you have bigger problems to solve. Anyway, enough philosophy. I am working on buying a new home for myself and my son when he visits. He graduated from Mira Mesa high this year and is going to Cuyamaca and Miramar colleges, working full time. Not a lot of time for mom, but he will always have a room wherever I go. I am still at the credit union, have made it to VP of Operations, so maybe that degree I always wanted is a little overrated, but I am very proud of what I have accomplished in life.
