Graduated 1974 Magna Cum Laude with BS (double major and double minor) and Master of Special Education 1975 from ENMU. Doctorate in education from the University of Arkansas with emphasis in Special Education.

Chair of the Department of Special Education at Midwestern State University where I've been since 1993.
Happily married, no kids, and two wonderful dogs. For my 50th birthday, I had a benefit for the humane society and collected money, food, bleach, bedding etc. I'm active in the Episcopal Church and the Association for Retarded Citizens; am also a director of the state board of the Texas ACLU. I'm the author of two books, the first author of two more, and a contributor to several others.
