Misty's Story
Life
I've been married to Arthur for almost 14 years, only seems like 20! (Only because of all of the adventures we've had packed into those 12 short years.) I love being a wife & mother to our 2 smart, funny athletic and busy sons. I am currently a student at Arizona State University again & love it! I am a secretary for my husband's travel agency business. I've been working in the same doctor's office in Tempe since 1994. My greatest enjoyment of my week, besides time with our sons, is volunteering at a local children's shelter. I love volunteering throughout the community and enjoy sharing these experiences with my boys. (Am I boring you yet? Because I'm a little bored writing it.)
I enjoy running races with my 2 sisters. I love cooking and baking; and I'm even better at eating! I suppose that's why I have to run.
My hard-working husband has opened my eyes to the world. We love traveling with our kids all over the world. I've explored over 30 different countries and over a dozen islands with my husband, family & friends. Our sons have already visited 14 different countries and a handful of islands. ...Expand for more
We've never lost our kids in an airport!! The most exotic places I have been to are Thailand, Turkey, Myanmar (Burma), & Morocco. The scariest place I've been to is Tempe, Arizona! (I guess it's not so intimidating since I live there.) My favorite places to visit are Thailand, Bali, Italy and England (love London & the theater). Throughout the year we visit many friends all over Alaska, including our Eskimo friends on St. Lawrence Island. Actually, the main reason why we travel is so we can EAT really great cuisine! The sight seeing is 2nd.
I love to read books that I get on our travels, as well as reading whatever else I can get my hands on. Also, I love reading to my sons, their room looks more like a library (but I've never been to a library with dirty clothes on the floor!).
I have wonderful friends and family that accompany us on our adventures. I cherish all of my friendships and family.
I'd like to get in contact with 3 girls that graduated with me in high school:
Dagnie Gibson (Heiman), Lisa A. McGillivray and Kitty Wang.
I am so blessed to have the life that I do.
Good Bye! Misty S. Gross (Herslow)
