Misty's Story
Life
Well, Since I have graduated this is what has happened in my life... I got married on mothers day in "99". I also had a baby boy in June of "99". He was born really early(when I was 6 months preg.)His name is Austin. He only weighed 3lbs 11oz and then quickly droped down to 3lbs 2oz. Austin was in the NICU for about 2 weeks when we found out that he was now not getting blood flow to his head. The hospital staff at USA Children's & Women's then let us know that Austin needed to have surgery on his heart!I was so scared of what was about to happen. Austin had to be taken to Tulane Hospital in New Orleans the night before Father's day. When we arrived at the hospital we(me and Austin's dad)wanted to see how our son was doing,.not so good. The doctors told us we had to leave out of the room while they tried to revive our son!At that moment I just wanted to die!
I could not belive what the doctors had just told us!It took them a few minuites to revive him.He had to have the surgery the next day, that was the longest 3 hrs in my life. Austin made it through with no problems!!He had to have a heart moniter on him until he was 8 months old.He is now almost 7 years old. He is still really small(45lbs).He is in first grade and he is so smart!Well in September of "00" me and Austin's dad got a divorce. We seperated in May of that year and I started seeing my now husband Arron Bookout. We got married in December "01".We had our first child in October "01". His name is Tyler. He weighed 5lbs 11oz.We were both in the hospital for about a week and then we came home.I was lucky that nothing was wrong with him.He was also early but only by 2 months. He is now 4 1/2 years old and there's never a dull moment with him. He's always got us on our toes! Our lives went on like normal,I was a stay at home mom until Austin turned 4. Then I started working again.I started working at Planet Kids Daycare.Like any normal young parents we were in a...Expand for more
bind with bills.I then picked up 2 other jobs. I was working at Hardee's in the morning at the daycare in the afternoon and then at the BP gas station at night.I became tired quick!Having 2 kids 3 jobs a husband and a house to keep clean will drain you quick of any energy that you have in your body!!Arron got a better job making more money so I could drop 2 of my jobs.YEAH!!Life went on.In 2004 we decided that we wanted to try to have a girl. A year went by and then I finally got pregnant.I found out when I was 4 months that it was a girl, just what we wanted.A month later the doctor tells me that I'm not gonna be able to carrie her to full term. She was born a month and a half early. Her name is Kaitlyn. She had some problems breathing. We didn't think that she was gonna make it.She had to stay in the NICU for about 2 weeks on a breathing machine. Her lungs finally developed to where she could come home but she just wasn't weighing enough. When she was born she weighed 4lbs 12oz and droped down to 3lbs 12oz. The doctors said she had to atleast be weighing 5 lbs so she could come home.Kaitlyn is now 3 months and weighing a little over 10lbs.Arron got a great job with the Mobile Paper Board and I also got a great job working for the school board.Things are kind of looking up for us. We finally got our house paid for this year("06").We're gonna try to buy some land in Turnnerville in the near future. My tubes got tied when I had Kaitlyn so there will be no more babies. We're just trying to do what we can for the ones we have and be thankful that we have them!If anyone would like to know anything else or if you have a coment please feel free to ask, just leave me a little note of your question and
i'll answer back as soon as I can.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
