Misty's Story
That summer after graduation I went strait into collage. Went to the University of Phoenix. I crammed is what I did. 4 years into 2. I was crazy for taking on such a task.
I finished though, with an extremly high rating. I got many postitions with jobs while in school.
I did Absolute Vodka advertisement. Maybe you will remember it. It was the vodka bottle and next to it was a champaine glass melted and bent to the side. That was mine.
Then I did advertisments for AT&T it was 2 flyers. yea, you know junk mail.
Lets see, then I got a real nice check from Harley Davidson. They needed some thumb nails drawn up for a new clothing line. My art work was noticed while in school. They would walk around and see whom they would like to approach with buisness. Yea, I was the luck winner. I was the first one to do The Harley Davidson kids line in clothing add. They wanted to keep me on with there team, but I knew that was not what I really wanted to do.
I did some work also for Bank Of America....Expand for more
A couple of posters for them. I also did some construction company. I knew for a fact that was not my line of work. I mean come on drawing construction parts. please!
To tell you the truth I did a whole lot.
My absolute favorte memory of it all was....
I was getting really home sick. Missing my parents and well just my life back home. I had drawn this one picture and painted it with wateer color a nice, guosh in high lights. It was of a little girl holding a chicken and she an exspression of getting scratched. That was the name of it of course.
I did this painting for my father, and well we would all the time have ascciates walking through from corperations and they wanted to purchase this original. I got offered quite the top dollar. I did not budge though I came home that month with the picture for my dad and still to this day they have it hanging on the wall.
Yea, money would have been nice, but I can always see how proud and accomplished I have become every time I visit home.
