Served as a volunteer in Israel for 2 1/2 years from 1982-84. Trained at a drug and alcohol center as a counselor. Lived on a commune in Utah for a few years. Married for 24 years, three children. Oldest son is in the Army, and has served a tour in Iraq. Daughter is in her second year of college. Youngest son is a junior in high school.
