Scott's Story
Life
I did not graduate with the class of 1972 but feel as though I was a part of it. I was born & raised on W. Dryden, went to Eugene Field (last time I visited Glendale in the mid 80's it was closed -- weeds in the playground and graffiti on the walls, pretty sad...) I remember Miss Meyer, Mrs. Hartwell, Miss Poirer, who probably had something to do with the fact that I am a teacher today - she was great! Mr. Robb used to march us around the field like his personal footsoldiers. Then off to Toll, and finally, a year at Hoover before moving to Wisconsin after my father passed away. Lots of fond memories - it is a real treat to see the names of the folks on this list.
Now, I teach school and pursue a doctorate in Educational Admin. - perhaps a principal someday soon. I have two children, am divorced, and love to travel. My interests are music, reading, writing, and teaching science. My memories of Glendale -- way too many to list, but how about -- seeing the kids at Incarn...Expand for more
ation in their uniforms and thinking how lucky I was not to have to wear one, Spanish lessons from Pecos Fields' mom, holding hands (first crush) with Joyce R. at the Hoover pool, riding around with Robbie McBride on the back of his Yamaha while holding my hand over the expansion chamber so it didn't make so much noise, where is Rob by the way? The cookies we got at snack time at Toll were really large. Amy Ernst was always the "teacher's pet" but I had a crush on her anyway. Cliff Roberts used to listen to Wolfman Jack on XERB. There was this red-headed teacher whose name I can't recall who drove a dark blue '56 t-bird and was rumored to go out with Mr. Altamura, I liked her class because she did such a nice job with poetry and songwriters, really made you listen to the words. And, who can forget Ralph driving his v-dub down Glenwood from the passenger seat.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone who would care to drop a line. Check above for my email. For now... Scott Molley
