Mollie's Story
I am a refugee from the '60s... sort of. Very much still involved in working toward world peace, and very much still involved in the music scene. Have written music for NBC (background for soap operas) and various commercials. Play in two bands (check out the website at fullmoonhacksaw.com if you want to hear some of it) mostly jazz and blues now (live), but have played everything in the studio. I work with high school exchange students from all over the world, and especially those here on Department of State scholarships to be ambassadors of peace. My company, AYUSA (Academic Year in the USA) fortunately sends me to a different country every year, so I have been able to...Expand for more
do the traveling that I always wanted to do!
I have 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren...with a great grandchild on the way. My youngest daughter was an ambassador of peace in Morocco on a scholarship. She is now studying international relations and creative writing at Knox College in illinois. Another daughter is an entreprenuer -- has her own cleaning business, and is also a paralegal. Another daughter is a dancer and a dance teacher, and the oldest a payroll specialist.
I didn't really care for high school -- at the time I felt like I was just marking time until my real life started. I also felt like a stranger in a strange land living in Buckeye during that time.
