Greetings from cyberspace..
Just thought I'd get my old school chums up to date on my whereabouts...
After Sunny Hills, I kicked around Fullerton for a few years attempting to be a college student but the partying kept getting in the way...I lived with Lisa Rubidoux and Debbie Lawrence in the "Ash House", fell in and out of love a couple of times, then decided to move to San Diego in 1975.
Tried college one more time, but I had much more fun hanging out at Kenny Schaller and Ronny Mays house in La Jolla...Luckily my restaraunt skills that I learned at Mario's kept me afloat for a few years until I could find a real job.
My love for plays found me working at the Old Globe Theatre until 1986. By then, Michelle Gull and I had spent 3 weeks in Europe and I knew I had seriously been bit by the travel bug. Lisa helped me get hired by Aircal, then ten months later Aircal was purchased by American Airlines, and I've been there ever since.
Never one to follow the rules of being a grown-up, I bought a boat in 1999. since I couldn't afford to buy real estate in San Diego. It...Expand for more
's been my permanent home since then, and I absolutely love it. Being a Pisces, living on the water seems perfectly normal to me, and I know lots about bilge pumps and revarnishing now...
I took that free-spirit mentality to heart, that we grew up with in the 60's and 70's. I figured out early on that raising a traditional family was not a high priority for me.. .Even though I've had some great long term relationships with some very interesting men, I never got around to getting married - and now I'm too damn old...
I continue to get together with with some of my favorite pals, and appreciate my long time friendships more than ever. It's great to know that even though we have such diverse lives, we all agree on one very important concept - that getting old sucks...
So here we are, the class of 1973, manuevering our way through middle age...It's kinda scary to think we are as old as Disneyland, the hula-hoop, and the Polio vaccine.
Before my memory is completely gone I'd love to be reminded of those great years called "youth", so feel free to drop me a line...
