Mona's Story
Life
Well... I guess since I had to pay in order to contact an old friend.. I may as well put something here :) I was married for several years (divorced in 97) and have 2 beautiful children; Daughter (22) and Son (17). I worked for an Elec. Co in Roseville, CA for 14+ yrs and was laid off in May 01, due to a reduction-in-force. Then laid off again in Jan 06, working as a Customer Service Rep. at a Fruit Juice Concentrate Plant in Marysville. I really loved the job but that's the way business goes. Onward I go. I worked as an Account Rep for Windsor Door in Marysville, CA. for 8 months before landing a great position right back where I started at NEC. I'm starting over and feeling great about it. I am also a Taiko Drummer with Marysville YBA Taiko Group and enjoy that very much. I also enjoy spending time with friends, old and new. emember who they were. Mostly it just reminds me of how old we're all getting! Anyway.. Best wishes to all. I'd love to hear from friends of the past or meet new ones.

College
Not much to say.... it was short-lived. I had to move on and work for a living. I wish I had given education a higher priority at the time. I'm sure I could have worked and gone to school. The struggle would have been worth it. I'm teaching my kids the importance of education. It wasn't expected of me when I was growing up. I think that makes the difference.
Workplace
I'm back working at NEC as an Engineering Technician a.k.a. PMG Tech. I'm excited to be back and looking forward to all there is to learn about my new job. I have run into so many people that I haven't seen in years. It's really great to be back. It's like coming home. This would have been my 21st year (2008) if I had never left (2001). Oh well. I'm starting over. At least I have the chance to do so.
