Mona's Story
After Choctaw, I went to OWJC for a little while and discovered school and I were just not compatible. I've worked at many different and diverse companies along the way. I married for the first time in 1969 to Arthur Weil Clark. Unfortunately it didn't last. I moved to Columbus, Georgia in 1970 where I took ballroom dance lessons and became quite good. In 1972 I married for the second time, Jim Ickes, and stayed married for 11 years and had one son, Erik. I remarried yet again in 1984 and remain married to the love of my life, Art Rosbury-Yoder. Yes, we exchanged vows and names. He makes me laugh and treats me well...what else could I ask for!? I love Rock n Roll and have met and talked with Chubby Checker! I love Broadway shows, my husband, son, my "stepmother", my bestest friends, 2 dogs and 1 cat! Enjoy travel in the U.S. and out. Enjoy my Koi pond and am looking forward to partial retirement...couldn't do it full time...I like connecting...Expand for more
with people too much (a far cry from the wallflower I was in high school). I've worked at Prudential Corporate offices in New Jersey for since 1997, currently support the Chief Medical Officer and still use my secretarial skills learned from Mrs. Middleton and Mrs. Haney at Choctaw! I have just been re-elected (May,2011) as secretary of our New Jersey Divison of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Love Mary Higgins Clark novels. I have them all and they are all personally autographed. I go to her new release book signing as she lives near me. Loved my cocker spaniels...we have had 4 over the years. We now have a beagle and minature pincher. We also have a large cat (part Maine Coon). I became a grandmother for the 1st time April 24, 2009. It's a girl and her name is Gwendelyn Marie Ickes! I will call her Gwende! I've posted a photo of she and I. Of coure, I think she is beautiful...so far she is a very good baby too!
