More about Monica:"I had gastric bypass surgery March 3, 2010. I was a size 24 and weighed 255 pounds. I was taking two blood pressure medications twice a day and cholesterol medication. I had pain in my joints and back. Many in my family have diabetes and I knew that was in my future. So glad to have my life back. In ten months, I have lost 91 pounds and wear a size 10. Blood sugar is normal as is my blood pressure and cholesterol. My only regret is that I waited so long to have the surgery because I was a big 'ole chicken!".
