Life I've a home in Orange County, California, 3 beautiful grown daughters and one handsome grandson who is my sweet prince. Oh yes, and 3 dogs and a cat (not quite the zoo that it was a couple of years ago when we also had a snake, birds and a hamster). Other than the animals, I'm pretty much an empty nester these days and like that just fine. I love gardening, traveling, camping, hiking, kayaking, and off-road exploring in the desert. I work out fairly regularly and am in pretty good shape for my age and will be hiking Half Dome June 2008 (17 miles, 5800 ft. elevation gain--a very long day). This coming fall, I hope to do Mt. Whitney over 2-3 days, but we'll see. That might be biting off more than I can chew at this point in my life. I have to admit I'm having some trouble believing that I'm getting old and there are just some things I can't do anymore or shouldn't be doing anymore.
