Mordecai's Story
Life
I was an accountant with Mobil for 16 years. In 1995, I also became a CPA.Twenty Seven years ago I married my wonderful wife Marilyn in Dallas, Texas. I received severance in 2001 from Mobil due to the merger with Exxon. I obtained a new position shortly thereafter, and was laid off again eight months later.

rements were increased, and I was not grandfathered.
The payback for my 100+ mile daily commute came in 2010. Suddenly, ExxonMobil bought XTO Energy. I got a fifth week of vacation, and my Mobil years back as service credit. At age 60, I suddely became retirement eligible!
I try to play racquetball three times a week at lunch time. That has been good for me healthwise, and it has been really good for my morale. All in all, I am a pretty happy camper these days, and really could not ask for much more out of life, except for a few good vacations.
