Clay's Story
After high school I went to work as an auto mechanic. So I did put those three years of auto shop to good use. Later on I got married. We never did have any kids. I now wish I had either gone to college or joined the military. My folks were kinda poor, so college wasn't in the cards anyway. Then again, if I did do something different I would never have met Susie, so I guess it all balances out in the end. About ten years ago I was fed up with the whole auto repair business, so I did go to some night classes for computer networking. Thats what I do now. Contractor for the Army. work servers. I see all these guys my age that went into the military and stayed in and are now retiring from that and scooping up cushy Gov't. jobs. Damn, I wish I could do it all over again. Oh well, hindsight and all that. I'm pretty happy with my career now, so it's all good. Since moving to Alabama, I have discovered mountains and mountain biking. That is my passion now. I could never move back to Florida, even though it was home for 38 years, no mountains!
I see all these names and they all look familiar, but I spent some time under the bleachers at Lyman, so my memory fails me somewhat ;)
